RAYNHAM, May 2, Infotopia, Inc. (OTCBB:IFTP) announced that it has acquired Delaware based National Boston Medical (NBMDE) from Nevada based National Boston Medical (NBMNV). NBMDE's primary asset is Safeshield, a germicidal skin protectant.

NORWOOD, May 3, REBAR, a technology operating and holding company, has acquired Colorado based TellSoft Technologies, an application service provider of rich-media outsourcing solutions. The terms of the deal were not disclosed. TellSoft develops a suite of streaming media content creation and delivery solutions for business communications. Rebar is dually headquartered in Colorado and Massachusetts.

WATERTOWN, May 14, Primix Solutions Inc. (Nasdaq:PMIX), a strategic Internet services firm based in Watertown, has acquired Extrio Corporation, a privately held Boston based consulting company specializing in healthcare-focused strategy, solution and integration services. Primix obtained ownership of Extrio in exchange for 900,000 shares of Primix common stock and a promissory note in the approximate amount of $571,000.

CHELMSFORD, May 16, Brooks Automation, Inc. (Nasdaq:BRKS), a supplier of tool and factory hardware and software automation solutions for the semiconductor industry, acquired SimCon N.V. (Simulation Consulting), a privately owned company headquartered in Gent, Belgium. The deal is structured as a purchase of stock in SimCon N.V. in exchange for cash and shares of Brooks common stock totaling $2,600,000 plus additional payouts contingent upon certain business objectives being met.

MARLBOROUGH, May 17, Exus Networks (OTCBB: EXUS), a provider of telecommunications services, announced that it has signed an agreement to acquire the assets of Marlborough based NEGEN Access Incorporated, a developer and marketer of high-performance intelligent broadband access equipment.

CAMBRIDGE, May 21, Genzyme Corp. and Focal, Inc. (NASDAQ: FOCL) announced the filing of Genzyme's registration statement with the SEC for the acquisition of Focal by Genzyme. The companies announced on April 26 that Genzyme will acquire Focal and merge its operations with Genzyme Biosurgery (NASDAQ:GZBX). In related news, on May 8, Genzyme General (NASDAQ:GENZ), a division of Genzyme Corp., and privately held Wyntek Diagnostics of San Diego announced an agreement under which Genzyme will acquire Wyntek for $65 million in cash.
